Ravensoft Ltd. launches the first centralized IT desktop powermanagement solution in Finland: Green Snapper software product gains wideinterest.

On 10^th October Ravensoft launched Green Snappersoftware solution, which can cut electricity usage of desktop environments upto 50%. The solution gained widespread interest among the customers and mediapresent in the launch.

Managing Director JaakkoSalminen introduced the product and results of Ravensoft’s study of IT management’sawareness and practices of IT power saving. The results were a surprise to theaudience: The big potential saving potential is poorly known even though theinterest for battling the climate change is growing fast.

Other speakers in the event included Osmo Soininvaara, Fortum CIO JouniKeronen and Communications Director PäiviLaitinen and expert Kimmo Rautiainenfrom Motiva.

Fortum and Motiva have both participated in the pilotprogram of the software and expressed the audience their confidence in thesolution’s benefits.

After Mr. Soininvaara’s speech the audience was convincedabout the reality of the climate change and our common responsibility toparticipate in energy saving efforts.
